There is a TIME for Everything!
Our universe is filled with many opposites – push and pull, on and off, up and down, excitement and quiet. I believe there is a great purpose for these contrasting forms of energy or events and we can learn from them if we pay attention to what happens during these changes.
My amazing team is very passionate about their work and are dedicated to providing the very best marketing for our clients, but when the flu season hit – our “busy as a bee” motto was replaced by “sick as a dog”
In a small company, it is challenging when one of your key players is out of commission or working at half speed. It can be stressful, for sure, but it can also be insightful.
As queen bee, it is my job to make sure the hive keeps producing honey no matter how many of my bees are flying at half strength. During this season of illness, I have discovered even more how creative my bees are and the amount of production each one brings to our hive. Also, that they know when to fine-tune their wings to do the extra work to allow others to rest and get well. But most of all that our organization is strong enough to allow our work to continue even if we are producing honey at a slower pace. Our bees and clients understand that good health must be at the top of the priority list as it is one of the most valuable treasures.
So in this very tough flu season, take the time to evaluate your team and take note of their strengths and weaknesses and whether others can take care of your business if you or another employee is not flying as fast as normal. And while I personally don’t want to catch the flu again – it at least had a silver lining for me – I am blessed with an amazing team and clients, too!

Be patient with yourself and take time to heal.”
