Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... don't tell Maya or post anything on Facebook!!
As most of you know our dear Maya is having some medical issues and will be having surgery the middle of June. While prayers and good thoughts are wonderful and we hope you will offer them daily - Maya can't pay the bills with them. So to ease her stress we are hoping through many friends and family we an raise enough money to pay some of her medical expenses.
After much searching for the best way to handle this process, without giving a large portion away to service fees, we chose to offer three options - donate by credit card, ACH check or mail a check. Below you will discover a link to be able to donate with a credit card or a check draft.
All the monies will be deposited into a separate bank account and a few days before her operation I will remove the funds and give them to Maya. As the donations come in I will be listing folk's names (not their donation amount) on the left side of the page below and the goal graphic next to it. So visit often to check our progress!
For those of you that don't know me.....I am honest to a fault, just ask Maya's mother, Suzanne, I am happy to tell her she is not as good a cook as I am.
If you feel you would not like to donate to the pot, but write the check to Maya instead, that works, too. Just mail it to me so that I can add it to the card as we want to give it to her all at once as we don't want her to know this is going on as she is a proud woman and would not want her friends and family to give so much - even though we all now how much she deserves it!
We are trying to make it as easy as possible to reach our goal in such a short time so if you are mailing your check please do so as soon as possible. Please mail all checks to Tina Walther, 3901 Sheryl Drive, Milan, MI 48160.
We hope you will remember all the times Maya has made you laugh, cry, enjoy life, and best of all when she gives you that big smile, with the twinkle in her eye, and donate generously to a wonderful person that gives so much of herself to others. No worries if you only have a little bit - it all adds up - as my Granddaddy use to say, "Don't want to pick up a penny? A wise man knows where a dollar comes from!" If you don't have it to give send me a prayer or well wish that I can add to this page and put in the card as they are priceless!
Please email special intentions for Maya to firstname.lastname@example.org

"Even though we are newer friends, I do have to say I feel like I’ve know you for quite awhile! I can’t remember ever having
so much fun spending a day golfing in my life! I’m still laughing about some of the one liners that flew around the island that day.
I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and look forward to our fearless foursome next year—that is if Middy hasn’t gone pro!
(Although I know I’ll see you before then!)"
"Your smile makes me smile even more!"
"Maya is one of the most amazingly fabulous, positive, caring, silly people on Earth and we wish her nothing but
